Chongqing Two Rivers Night Cruise · Answers to common questions on tickets, entry, refunds and transport
Which side has the better night view? 22 Experience
The boat turns during the sailing, so both sides get a chance at the main sights — there is no need to hold one side. The return leg often looks different from the outbound leg, so keep an eye out.
Are there seats on board, or do you stand the whole time? 24 Experience
The main cabin and deluxe cabin have seats; a deck ticket is mainly for open-deck viewing and may involve standing. If standing for a long time is a problem, choose a ticket type with seating.
Are there toilets on board? 22 Experience
Cruise boats generally have toilets. It is worth using the facilities at the wharf before boarding to avoid queues around departure.
Can I eat on board? 18 Experience
You may bring drinking water and small snacks, but please keep the cabin tidy. Meals included in a dinner combo follow the arrangements on board.
What if I get seasick? 24 Experience
The river is usually calm, but sensitive travellers may still feel unwell. Avoid boarding on an empty or overly full stomach, go easy on alcohol, choose a spot with an open view and look into the distance. If needed, consult a doctor beforehand and bring medication.
Does fog affect the view? 23 Experience
In light fog the buildings across the river become outlines and the lights scatter into halos, which has its own appeal. In very low visibility the viewing value drops clearly, and rescheduling is worth considering.
