Chongqing's night view is not just "a lot of lights". Terrain, two rivers and stilted architecture stacked together create that layered look.

Built into the hillside in stilted-house style, 11 storeys high, opened in 2006 and a national 4A attraction: Hongyadong's lights have become the fixed image of Chongqing after dark.

The Qiansimen and Dongshuimen bridges and others are lit at night, their outlines layering with reflections on the water — a highlight of the cruise.
