On deck
- Do not climb the railings, and do not lean over them to take photos.
- In strong wind, hold your phone and belongings firmly so nothing slips.
- Slow down when the deck is wet and watch your footing.
- Look after elderly companions and children; do not let them move around the deck edge alone.
Steps and gangways
- There is a level difference and movement between boat and shore — step only when staff signal.
- Hold the handrail going up and down the gangway; do not carry things in both hands.
- Wharf stairs are slippier when wet; wear non-slip shoes.
Night crowds
- Boarding and docking are the most crowded moments; keep children in front of you.
- Do not stop suddenly in the flow to take photos or turn around.
- Agree a meeting point with your group in case you are separated.
Belongings
- Keep valuables close and wear backpacks with the zip facing front.
- Keep documents and phone separately so you do not lose both at once.
- Light is poor at night and searching is awkward — carry as little as possible.
In an emergency
Follow the crew's instructions and do not run to one side or crowd together, which would affect the boat's balance and the evacuation routes.
