Why the figures differ
Published sources give different figures for the Two Rivers night cruise: distances of about 7 km, about 10 km and 16–20 km, and durations of about 45–60 minutes or 60–90 minutes. The differences may come from start and end points, whether the route is a round trip, and whether an extended branch is included.
So it is better not to write a fixed number of kilometres or minutes into your itinerary.
Budget time in three parts
- Before boarding: arriving at the wharf, finding the berth, ticket verification and queuing. Noticeably longer in peak season and on holidays.
- The sailing: as published for that day's departure, generally around an hour.
- Getting out: docking and disembarking, crowd dispersal, and possible traffic congestion near the wharf in the evening.
Practical advice
- Treat the cruise as a two-to-three-hour block, not just the sailing time.
- If you have plans afterwards (back to the hotel, a train), leave a buffer.
- With elderly companions or children, make the buffer wider.
A note
Departure times and route length follow the booking page and the wharf's notices for the day; this article is not a commitment on duration.
